Leak detection
Find the source of hidden leaks and damp, then repair it with the right fittings — so the stain on the wall does not come back.
Overview
Water that escapes from a pipe rarely shows up where the problem actually is. It runs along joists, soaks into plaster and appears as a stain two rooms away, or quietly raises your water bill for months before anyone notices. Patching the visible damage without finding the source is how the same leak keeps returning.
Our plumbers work methodically: isolating sections of pipework, pressure-testing supply lines, checking joints, valves and fixture connections, and taking moisture readings to follow the water back to where it starts. Once the cause is confirmed, we explain what we found and give you a clear price for the repair.
Repairs are carried out with fittings that match your pipe material — PPR, uPVC, CPVC, GI or copper — and every joint is tested under pressure before we close up or hand over.

Our process
Every visit follows the same clear sequence, so you always know what is happening and why.
01
We shut off sections of the system and watch the pressure to confirm whether a leak exists and where.
02
Moisture readings, visual inspection and selective checks narrow the leak down to a joint, pipe or fitting.
03
Damaged sections and fittings are replaced with materials that suit your existing pipework.
04
The repaired line is pressure-tested again, the area cleaned and any access openings neatly closed.
What's included
The exact work depends on what we find, but these are the tasks our plumbers routinely carry out as part of this service.
Worn washers, cartridges and seals on taps, mixers, showers and toilets.
Leaks inside walls, floors and ceilings traced and repaired with minimal disruption.
Overhead and underground tank connections, overflow and inlet line leaks.
Questions
We start with pressure tests, moisture readings and inspection of every accessible joint and fixture. In many cases this confirms the exact location, so any opening we make is small and targeted.
Yes. If a hidden leak keeps your pump running or drains your hot water heater, both water and electricity use go up. Fixing the leak usually brings both back to normal.
We neatly close small access openings. For larger finishing work such as re-tiling or painting, we can advise you on what is needed once the plumbing repair is complete.
Most fixture and joint leaks are fixed in a single visit of one to three hours. Concealed leaks that need investigation may take longer; we will give you a time estimate with the quote.
